- 由山崎蒸餾廠所擁有豐富多彩的原酒中，調和師們精心挑選出理想的麥芽原酒調配而成。內含代表山崎的水楢桶中所儲藏的麥芽威士忌 - 「山崎」選用了日本國寶級的泉水(為日本名水之最，日本茶道始祖千利休曾在此筑庵，創造了茶道)釀造，發酵過程中獨創了多種酵母加入發酵的技法，以求產出最豐富微妙的風味；在蒸餾過程中採用6種不同形狀的蒸餾機（傳統的威士忌蒸餾最多僅採用2種蒸餾機）。橡木桶的選擇上，「山崎」也不同於傳統蘇格蘭威士忌選用單一的橡木桶，卻選用3種不同的橡木桶；北橡木、西班牙雪莉酒桶以及帶有東方沉香味的日本水楢橡木桶。
- 山崎 12年，來自日本獨有的日本橡木桶(Japanese Oak，水楢)的淡雅，呈現出日本神社的氛圍，口感香氣帶著淡淡伽羅、日本線香的氣息，口感腹郁，迷人的果香與濃郁的麥芽香氣，餘味悠長。2002年時獲得ISC國際酒類競賽金牌獎肯定，是品酒行家難以錯過的佳釀。
